Terms and Conditions
The Brickery Cafe Ltd
Terms & Conditions for Table Booking Deposits
These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between The Brickery Cafe Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”) in relation to table booking deposits.
By placing a deposit with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

1. Deposit Requirement
1.1. A deposit or booking fee is required to secure table bookings, including (but not limited to) larger groups, parties, or special events.
1.2. The applicable deposit amount and accepted payment methods will be clearly communicated at the time of booking.
1.3. Unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms & Conditions, or agreed in writing by us, all deposits and booking fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
1.4. Deposits taken for group, party, or event bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless an exception is expressly confirmed by us in writing.

2. Pricing and Table Use
2.1. All persons attending the café, whether actively building or not, are required to pay a pre-booking fee of £5 per hour per person. A seat must be booked and paid for every person present.
2.2. Bookings are charged based on the total duration of time used. If you remain at your table beyond your pre-booked time, additional time will be charged in half-hour (30-minute) increments.
2.3. For example, if you pre-book for 1 hour and remain at your table for 1 hour and 10 minutes, your total charge will be for 1.5 hours.
2.4. The total charge payable is calculated based on the number of guests included in the booking and the total time the table is occupied.
2.5. Any additional time beyond your original booking is subject to table availability and cannot be guaranteed. Additional charges will apply where extended use is permitted.
2.6. Parents or guardians may not book seats solely for children while remaining unseated. Every person present in the café must have a booked and paid-for seat.
2.7. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising and assisting children under the age of 16 where necessary. We actively encourage shared building and play between adults and children.

3. Cancellations
3.1. If you wish to cancel your booking and request a refund of your deposit or booking fee, you must contact us directly by telephone or email no later than 24 hours before your scheduled booking time.
3.2. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time, or failure to attend without notice, will result in the deposit or booking fee being forfeited and no refund will be due.
3.3. Where a cancellation is made within the required notice period, any refund offered will be subject to our refund policy set out below, including any applicable deductions for non-refundable payment processing fees.
3.4. We reserve the right to cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to safety concerns, unforeseen operational issues, or events beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, you will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and a full refund will be issued.

4. Refunds
4.1. All refunds are issued at our discretion and are assessed on a case-by-case basis, in accordance with this policy.
4.2. Where a cancellation is made within the required notice period stated above, we may offer a refund of the deposit or booking fee. Any refund issued will be subject to the deduction of non-refundable third-party payment processing fees, which are charged to us at the time of booking and are not returned to us by the payment provider.
4.3. Where a booking is cancelled due to customer error (including, but not limited to, selecting an incorrect date or session), any refund offered will be subject to the deduction outlined in clause 4.2.
4.4. If we cancel your booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, including any applicable booking or processing fees.
4.5. Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment and may take several working days to appear, depending on your bank or payment provider.

5. Changing Your Booking
5.1. Requests to change the date, time, or size of a booking must be made directly with us by phone or email. Changes cannot be made automatically or guaranteed.
5.2. All booking changes are subject to availability and our approval. We reserve the right to refuse amendments where a change would not be operationally possible or where sufficient notice has not been given.
5.3. Where a requested change cannot be accommodated and you choose to cancel the booking, the cancellation and refund terms set out above will apply.
5.4. Changes requested due to customer error (including, but not limited to, booking an incorrect date or session) will be treated as amendment requests under this section and are not guaranteed.
6. Liability
6.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the cancellation, alteration, or rescheduling of a booking, whether initiated by you or by us.
6.2. Personal belongings are brought onto our premises at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility for the loss of or damage to any personal items while you are on our premises.
6.3. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
7. Our Rights
7.1. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking, or to refuse service, where it is reasonable and lawful to do so, including (but not limited to) situations involving safety concerns, capacity limits, or breaches of these Terms & Conditions.
7.2. We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect from the date they are published on our website. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
8. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
